Sebastian & Amaris August 2007

August 1, 2007 Sasha tries this Morgan horse she found in the want ads.

We decided to buy her! We came back later that day with Beth to trailer Amaris home to HyRidge Stables.

She loaded right on in 5 minutes.

Sasha & Amaris Sasha is very happy to have this new horse for her birthday!

The next day 8-2-07 Sebastian & Amaris meet in the arena for the first time.

Sasha rides Amaris around the ring.

I ride Sebastian while Sasha rides Amaris & they get along fine.

August 3, 2007 Molly & Sasha bath Sebastian for the show tomorrow!

Then they practice loading him on the trailer.

Molly braids the mane and Sasha clips the whiskers. Sasha's mom braids the tail.

August 6, 2007 I ride Sebastian around the ring.

August 7, 2007 We all go out on a trail ride to Lake Dennison

Princess & Amaris are in the lead and here comes Brownie!

August 9, 2007 Leaha comes over to ride the horses with Sasha

Brenda's sister Kim who rides English tries Amaris. We bought this saddle from her.

We go for a walk down the street together. The horses really like each other now.

August 15, 2007 Sasha and Amaris go out on a trail ride

Out in the field of tall grass

So alert like one of those pointing dogs

Justin doesn't ride anymore, he has his drivers license now!

But I have learned to ride more so Sasha can have someone to ride with now that we have two horses!

August 21, 2007 Sebastian in his paddock

Brenda's other sister Shannon who gives lessons at the farm rides Amaris and gives Sasha lots of tips to tone her up and ride her better.

August 28, 2007 After nursing a sciatic nerve for 3 weeks I am finally back riding on Sebastian

Sebastian and Amaris have really bonded in the past few weeks.

It hurts my back to ride but I just feels so happy when I'm riding Sebastian!

Sasha loves to ride her new horse Amaris too!

We get her Mom to ride more often now too that I am hurting.
