Bring on the metal of the Live Band "amnĈon"

"amnĈon" is a local hard rock band that has oozed out of the basement of rural Ashburnham, Massachusetts to flood the pubs and bars of the neighboring towns and cities of head banging music lovers!  Self promoted & unsigned amnĈon's quartet of college students have been playing together for over 2 years and are known for their well rehearsed gigs and professionalism.  The band's name "amnĈon" pronounced  (amn-a-on) represents the concept of forgetting who you are in a cycle of time. A play on the words "amnesia" and "aeons" - flows with the imagery of the bands first album titled "Everything That Exists."   All their music is written by the lead singer and lead guitarist Justin Bonitz.  Influenced by the likes of Godsmack, Fuel, TOOL ,System of a Down, and underground bands like Stage - Bonitz is no stranger to the live scene. He has been attending live rock concerts since grade school when his Mom and Aunt, great lovers of music themselves, believed in spending the extra money to bring Justin along to see "The Big Rock Show."  Back then it was Fuel, Kenny Wayne Shepherd & Noah Hunt, Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas and Keith Urban...  needless to say, Bonitz was moved by what he witnessed.  Now an adult himself, Bonitz is dreaming about his own big rock show some day with his uniquely blended sounds of rock, metal, screamo and alternative.  amnĈon features a cool and catchy sound laced with poetic lyrics all penned by Bonitz.  The secret ingredient?  Bonitz writes about what he feels and believes,  composing music he would like to share with the world.

amnĈon plays all their own music but you may get treated to a cover song if you attend one of their live gigs. Bonitz has been known to play harder versions of Bob Seger's "Turn The Page."  A fused version of Seger meets Metallica.  Also Nickleback's "How You Remind Me" grunge version is an occasional cover that amnĈon will taunt the crowd with for fun. "Ignorance" by Paramore & "Dance, Dance" by Fall out boy are 2 covers that Justine lends her lead vocals to but "Last Resort" by Paparoach sung by Bonitz is a crowd favorite that brings the mosh pit to life!

Other bands that amnĈon has played with include Sirena (from New Jersey) Johnny cab,Ted bundy, The Lady Killers, The F.P.K. (Fitchburg Punk Crew) Black Bear as well as many others.

Bandmates, drummer Anthony Leroy, and bassist Bob Cote are both self taught and bring major energy to the live shows. Leroy a Graphic Arts student at UMASS Lowell has been drumming for 3 years.  Cote a soldier in the Army Reserve for 2 years has been learning the bass from the bands inception.  Rounding out the band is the youngest member, Dan Lavoie  who's been taking guitar lesson since childhood is a college student at MWCC   Justin & the band members spend countless hours rehearsing for their gigs and with Bonitz's musical appetite the band is constantly practicing and learning new tunes.  amnĈon is  eager to play and is versitile enough to break down their metal set to an acoustic one in order to reach more music fans and get their sound out there.  If you ever happen to find yourself in North Central MA for the weekened and in the mood to rock out, check out the live band "amnĈon" at one of the local pubs in the Gardner and Fitchburg area and I promise, you won't be disappointed.
